Device ID

Every registered Windows device receives a shareable SkillBid Remote ID.

Access code

The receiving device shows a separate access code for the connection request.

Host approval

The host sees the request and accepts or declines it before remote control starts.

Visible session control

Connection state and disconnect controls remain visible while the session is active.

HOW IT WORKS

A deliberate connection flow from both sides.

SkillBid Remote keeps the setup understandable: create your account, identify the registered device, provide the access details, and let the host decide whether to continue.

VISIBLE BY DESIGN

The person receiving help remains part of the connection.

SkillBid Remote keeps the request understandable on both devices, from sharing connection details to approving control and ending the session.

01

Share the Device ID and current access code.

02

Review and approve the incoming control request.

03

Keep visible disconnect controls available throughout.

01

REMOTE SUPPORT

Help someone on their Windows device.

Provide approved technical assistance while the host remains aware of the session and in control of whether it begins.

02

COLLABORATIVE TROUBLESHOOTING

Work through a problem together.

Use a registered device, Device ID, and access code for deliberate troubleshooting rather than invisible access.

03

APPROVED REMOTE WORK

Connect when the receiving device says yes.

SkillBid Remote is built around an explicit request and approval flow before mouse and keyboard control can be used.

HOST CONTROL

The receiving device stays involved.

The host sees the incoming request and decides whether the session should proceed. Remote control is not treated as automatic.

Registered device

Remote setup is tied to a registered SkillBid device.

Access code

A separate access code is used alongside the Device ID.

Explicit approval

The host accepts or declines the incoming request.

Visible disconnect

Termination controls remain available during the active session.

REMOTE WORKSPACE

A focused session surface once the connection is real.

The Windows app brings device information, partner connection controls, approval requests, and session state into one focused workspace.

SkillBid only shows a connected state after a real remote video track is received. Mouse and keyboard control can be requested separately and still requires host approval.
